Doreen O’Skea is a writer, dreamer, lyrical gangster, weaver of words and worlds who has been ghost writing for captains of industry, university presidents, artistic directors and scientists for the majority of her career. Her fiction has been her outlet to tell the stories behind the stories of what she sees – or perhaps perceives – in the world around her every day. Sometimes poignant, frequently fascinating and always intriguing. She currently lives on this tangible plane in Ashland, OR – in her imagination she lives everywhere. She has a husband, a daughter, a sassy puppy, an ever expanding library, a deep affection for birds of prey – they are so necessary for us to be alive – six chickens (not birds of prey for those playing the home game) and an endless supply of affection and terms of endearment.
